Tonka has been an American producer of toy trucks since 1955. As a child I once found myself in big trouble after my Aunty Nossie gave me a gleaming new Tonka truck for Xmas, which I promptly took outside when no one was watching and bashed around with a hammer to give it a cool, authentic look.

If you’re in Sydney you can avoid shipping costs by collecting the work and paying cash at my studio in Darlinghurst. Otherwise shipping will be calculated at check-out. Please allow 2-3 weeks for domestic delivery and 3-4 weeks for international as each print is handmade to order. If you need something urgently, let me know as I keep about 100 pieces in stock.

BACKGROUND

HOW I FELT is a series of 200 prints, each in a limited edition of 50.
All are hand-printed in Sydney using dye transfer on acoustic felt tiles.
I sign and number each print.
I love these felt tiles because they look and feel beautiful. As a bonus, they’re designed to absorb sound and improve a room’s acoustics.

FRAMING

L-pins ($10 for 4) or a hanging brace ($30) are a great way to hang my unframed prints on plaster or wooden walls. I recommend a wooden frame for brick or concrete walls. My frames are custom-built in Sydney using solid timber with natural grain. Each frame is $149. Please note that I do NOT include glass because the felt looks better naked. I can provide acrylic (not glass) and a sealed backing for $50 if the work will be hung in a moist environment like a beach house. Click here to add acrylic to your framed order.

I enjoy special requests, be it for a certain product or theme, or work at a specific size. I also work with interior designers to create feature walls that visually and acoustically enhance a room.
