From $150
Splayds are eating utensils that combine the functions of a spoon, knife and fork. They were created in Sydney in 1946 by William McArthur, whose wife Suzanne used and sold them in her Sydney café until the mid-60s. She then sold the design to a tableware company which has since sold over 5 million Splayds in 52 countries. Splayds were the de rigueur Aussie wedding gift of the 1970s.
