Invented in 1951, the Chiko Roll is a fried Aussie snack made primarily of cabbage, barley, carrot, onion, beef and celery encased in a pastry tube designed to survive handling at footie matches. 40 million Chiko Rolls sold annually in Australia at the peak of their popularity in the 1970s.
